We exhibit at Greve Museum
On Tuesday, June 29, the exhibition NYE SHOTS opens at Greve Museum.
NEW SHOTS refers to the fact that all exhibitors are graduates of the Guild's professional training in shaft weaving and picture weaving. In other words, the newest additions to the family.
NEW SHEETS also refers to the fact that a weft in the loom is another word for weft. The weft is the threads that run perpendicular to the warp to form a woven piece of fabric. The way in which the weft and warp run over and under each other forms the pattern in the fabric.
In my graduation project, I woven the fabric for a Chanel jacket and the jacket is hand-sewn according to the same principles as a real Chanel jacket.
If you want to see the jacket, visit the exhibition at Greve Museum. The exhibition is open from June 29 to October 24, 2021.
