They are woven on 4 shafts and treadles in a stramaj<\/em> (huckaback) structure, which creates an open weave that makes the cloth easy to wring out.<\/p>\n

These dishcloths are woven in 16\/2 linen from Kinna. Weave them in a sea of colours on the same warp. They are simple and quick to make, and perfect as gifts \u2014 or just for yourself and your kitchen.<\/p>\n

In our beautiful kitchens, the dishcloth is always on display, so it needs to fit in, be simple, and create a calm, clean look. It should absorb well and dry quickly.<\/p>\n

A handwoven linen dishcloth has fantastic properties. It absorbs moisture efficiently, dries fast, and linen is naturally bacteriostatic \u2014 meaning it inhibits bacterial growth, so bacteria do not develop as easily in the cloth. Linen fibres are long and produce a textile that is very durable. Linen is a natural material, and when the dishcloth is finally worn out, it can be composted.<\/p>\n

Wash the dishcloth at 60\u00baC and tumble dry it, or hang it on the line \u2014 which is more environmentally friendly and will make your dishcloth last longer.<\/p>\n
